With one of the highest concentrations of Zagat rated restaurants in the state of Florida, Sarasota’s restaurants provide a wide assortment of cuisine and a casual to fine dining experience from which to choose. This elevation of the culinary arts joins Sarasota’s cultural attractions to provide a wonderfully splendid destination dining experience.

The Savor Sarasota restaurant week is the perfect opportunity for the uninitiated Sarasota diner to sample a number of restaurant offerings and start a list of favorites. Speaking of favorites, Savor Sarasota is also the perfect venue for the experienced Sarasota diner to revisit an old favorite or try something totally new.

All of the participating restaurants offer a multi-course lunch for $15 per person or $25 per person for dinner. SRQ Reviews reviewed the following participants:

Bijou Café
Blu Smoke Island Grill

Just got Pork and Sons by Stephane Reynaud. What a great book! He is the grandson, son and nephew of butchers and owns a restaurant in France that features all manner of pork. I'm calling my favorite ethnic butcher, Bichelmeyer's, to get some feet, ears and tails in the near future.

This book has everything from very simple bacon sandwiches to quite involved confits and braises. I'm leaning toward the involved. Anyone who loves pork should check this delightful book out.

Wow, sounds great... Chris is a huge fan of anything from the pork family, so I've gotta get this.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it sounded like an interesting Chinese pork dish
Sounds like a great book!

That sounds pretty awesome, Zataar. Thanks for sharing it.

In our house, Pork is one of the five major food groups. And besides Chocolate, I don't remember what the others are. Carnitas in Mole Sauce, anyone?

Let us know how the recipes turn out!

France, eh. I'm betting against hope it has a deep fried breaded pork tenderloin sandwich recipe. But if it does, I'm buying it.
